Jef Bass is an accomplished musician, but the production side of music is his true passion. He has worked with musical/drama groups that produced such shows as Godspell, Mame, and Evita. Bass has also worked with many major musical acts in a variety of genres of professional music.
Touring North America as an engineer with U2 and other bands, and producing projects in the studio or playing bass on stage, Bass knows both sides of the performance spectrum intimately.
Recent achievements as a bassist/percussionist include multiple trips to Iceland with a touring band from Atlanta and performances with The Cody Marshall Experience. Recordings that Bass has recorded and mastered with SoundAround can be heard on Georgia Public Broadcasting’s “Studio GPB.” In addition to his chief engineer duties he is the Video Director for nearly all location based performance recordings, and also SoundAround’s studio manager.
